PROKSA PARK GARDEN CLUB NEWS UPDATE

PLANTING PRIDE IN BERWYN JUDGING
There are over 50 entries in the contest and they will be judged this week.  We have two teams visiting tonight from 6-8.

We have two teams on Wed.  The first is from 10-2 and the second is from 2-4.

An idea to think and talk about is to judge curb appeal by blocks next year, perhaps dividing the city into four zones....What do you think? Please provide feedback as we wish to exceed your expectations!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR GARDEN

We are having increasing numbers of kids at our Saturday gardening time from 9-11.  If you can possibly help we could use you in any number of jobs ranging from games for the kids, helping plant seeds and plants and harvesting!

Last Saturday there were eight kids and some parents.  They harvested cukes, carrots, basil, old fashioned sweet peas, sweet peppers and nasturtiums.  They had a lot of fun and so did we. They also planted some radishes and carrots.

We also garden each Wed. evening starting at 6 til dusk.  There is weeding, planning for renovations and ordering more plant materials to be planted this fall.

COME TO THE POTLUCK

Our annual potluck in the garden is on Monday August 17 at 6:30 PM rain or shine.  We will meet near the Children's garden or in the meeting room if foul weather .
