That's exactley what I was thinking!!!  It all looks
and sounds like a lot of work to me, but knowing Bonster
he will do a perfect job and the windows will look beautiful!
(It's part of being anal).  Don't be to hard on him Tracy he means well!
lol.

A bons, a couple of pointers.

2.  Rope is easier than chain.  If you have rope, you need another mechanism/piece of something to go to chain, with a rope, you only need to make a knot.

Good luck

I agree!  I think I'm going to go with rope.  Chain may last forever, but rope will surely outlast me, so...

Change of plans!
My 80yr old retired carpenter neighbor just came by and showed me how to use the chain and fittings...
Now, I think it may actually be easier than using rope, tying knots, etc.

The chain slides right onto the fittings, and they sit neatly in the defined crevice for the knots.
He did it in about 3 minutes.
Check it out:

Slide the chain over
this piece (replaces
the rope knot)
_
...and it sits perfectly
in the sash...
_
Slip it thru the weight,
clamp with pliers, done.
