Neighbor's gutters broken-seepage in my basement

Bonster-good point about the neighbor's ladder possibly damaging my own gutters/house if there are strong winds.  I am going to bring this up with them next time I catch someone outside since I've actually been able to talk with them about the gutter situation a bit.  I generally find them to be pretty nice people, & while they may be careless and even lazy when it comes to taking care of their home, I don't think they are completely horrible neighbors, if that makes sense.  We are not very close, but they ask about my baby, hand my husband a beer over the fence, that sort of thing. They are o.k. people, even if I would not choose to live the way they do or keep my yard the way they keep their yard.  Sometimes, it certainly can be challenging living in close proximity to one's neighbors.
