Gone at 94.  I went to Rolling Stone, however, they didn't even report the death at the time of my posting.

Okay, this one rocks me.

Cool as the other side of the pillow.

Vaya con Dios Les.

Imagine in your 90's and still able to enjoy performing at a club.  It's really hard for me to believe someone of that age could still be able to play that good.  He did remark about the arthritis in the fingers and how he was determined to fight that.  He just wouldn't let it stop him.

Let's face it.  Les was truly blessed and I think the music and the people kept him young.

A true innovator.  He had one helluva life!

Nice tribute BillyJean.  You know your music.

I'm sure Mary Ford was waiting for him at the gate!

I had the honor of meeting Les Paul back in the 80's when a friend of mine who owned a music store won a clinic with him from Gibson for his store. It was at The Cicero Stadium. Survivor and Steve Dahl and Gary Meier were also there. Steve was funny,Survivor was really good but Les stoled the show. He had 2,000 people eating out of the palm of his hand. He demonstrated how he invented over dubbing and he truly mesmerized everyone. Especially the younger people in the crowd.
He was a true legend,a class act,and his contributions will last forever.

Think of how stupid the average person is and realize half of them are stupider than that.

I was listening to XRT's Woodstock weekend today.

I think Les knew people like Jimi (a Marine) would do the National Anthem as a lead in to Purple Haze with his creation someday...

I am sure it made him smile. He liked what Santana did with his toy as well.
