Mellman went down hill years ago, he got fat and sassy
and lost his creativity. He was a pioneer in his time however,
the first Lettuce was one of my faves.

Rich could never go down hill. To correct your statement Bear he is pretty much retired from Lettuce and has been for a few years now. Believe me he is not the type to ever get fat and sassy.I think his focus now is on the second generation of Mellmans who are now in the restaurant business.
