Its not Kennys decision to make. Ventura is another one of Jerry's guys. Former player,works cheap,and does what he's told. When it comes to hiring Kenny has very little say if any.

No he's not....perfect hire.

Certifiable yes man to bite the bullet and "bridge the gap" between now and when the team is finally able to rid itself of the ridiculous contracts BOY WONDER GM saddled them with/capable of contending. Ventura (as manager) is Bridgeport's answer to Mike Quade. Sacrificial lamb to cover the GM's ass.

Have to wonder how much Kirk Gibson's success influenced hiring Ventura.
As a life-long Sox fan I don't have a problem with the pick. It was fun watching Big Frank react to
the announcement, as though he should have been consulted.
