Mrs. Pres.

Sorry,  I did not deconvert that listing correctly.

When we describe on the internet to other realtors we have to go by a certain format that makes us describe how many 1/2 bathrooms are in a house.

For instance... that particular home has two and a half baths.  But if it had two half baths it would read as 2.2 baths. If it has 3 half baths it would read 3.3 baths and so on.

It makes sense on our part.  I should have changed it.  Sorry...

A few comments:

Tony - thanks for the info.  Very interesting stuff.

I don't get Flamingos.  Maybe I bought the wrong thing, but my chocolate ice cream tasted more like frozen chocolate water.  Like chocolate Italian Ice.

And I agree with Tony that Berwyn will be a true gem once we get the schools in shape.  Schools are the biggest reason why Berwyn hasn't realized its potential.

So do you know anyone who might be a good candidate for school board melliman?

As a matter of fact, I do.  I think you'll see an interesting number of people running for varoius boards come election time.

Good question.  The statistics that I have are not very accurate.  This is not something that we track.
For every young couple we have that move out of town.  We have a senior that is going into assisted living.  Or a newly retired couple that is going into a over 55 community or out of state.

I do not think it is in any different in any other community.  Even the sellers I have from Orland Park tend to go farther south and west to build bigger.

We seem to draw alot of people from the North side.  Many of the Northsiders stay for some time.
In many communities people move to other communities for a lot of different reasons. Job transfers is one of them.

We still have a lot to offer in this city.  I think that sometimes we are guilty of looking over the hill and seeing greener grass, while not appreciating how green our grass really is.

I for one have lived in Tinley Park and Orland Park. There are some things that are better there and some not as good as it is here. When we get our schools together we will be in good shape.

Do any of the younger (40-50) people moving suggest that they are moving to get into a better school district?  Bigger home?  And BTW, people coming to Berwyn from the Northside, are coming here because they can't afford to buy a decent size home there.  Our housing stock is very, very attractive physically and economically.

Its true Art.
My partner and I moved from the Northside.
We really wanted a home not a small condo.
The housing stock out here is incredible and very affordable.
