Concordia Little Lambs Kindergarten

Concordia Little Lambs Preschool provides a Christian atmosphere for the intellectual, social, emotional, physical and spiritual development of children age 5. Children are encouraged to learn by discovery in "hands-on" activities in order to gain confidence and a positive self image.  They will be taught literacy and math skills, as well as learning about the world around them.  Concordia Little Lambs Kindergarten is licensed by the Illinois Dept. of Child and Family Services.


Who May Enroll?
Children who are potty-trained and age 5 by September 1, 2005.  Concordia Little Lambs Kindergarten admidts students of any race, color, or national or ethinic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

When Do Classes Meet?
Classes Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., generally following the calendar of South Berwyn District 100.  Children may also enroll in the half-day program which meets from 9 - 11:45.

Where Do Classes Meet?
Classes meet in the Kindergarten classroom in Concordia Lutheran Church on 32nd and Home Avenue in Berwyn, 1 block north of the Metra tracks on Home.

Class Limit
18 children with a certified teacher with a Master's Degree in Education

Cost
There is a nonrefundable registration fee of $100.  Tuition is paid in 10 monthly installments of $415/month.  This monthly fee also includes a healthy snack and a hot, catered lunch.  Payment for the half day program is $278/month and includes a healthy snack.  Financial assistance is available for members of Concordia Lutheran Church in Berwyn.  Parents may also do fund-raising to help pay their tuition.

Kindergarten starts this coming week.  Our class is very small, but very blessed.  If you would like your Kindergartner to experience the quality education at Concordia, with a very low teacher to student ratio, it is not too late to call and visit our classroom.

Right now, enrollment is at 8 children, some choosing full day and some choosing half day.

I work in the preschool, and not in the Kindergarten, but I can tell you that the small classroom size produces a group of children who think and act as a family.  It's really beautiful to watch.
