FYI:  There is a sign at the library entrance indicating district 100 is looking for feedback on math curriculum for 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  According to the Youth Services desk, the District is actually looking for feedback on two series of math textbooks that they are, apparently, trying to decide between.  One is Mathematics in Context by Britannica (2006) and the other is Prentice Hall Mathematics (2004).  There's a one-page, two-sided survey interested individuals can can complete.  I didn't have time to review either series.  It seems they will just be available for review through Tuesday.

The survey ends with a note of thanks and phone number for Dr. Zito, Director of Curriculum (795.2300 x4018).
