PUBLIC HEARING - Administrative Cost Cap Waiver

Ken Keeling, Business Manager, outlined the provisions of Section 17-1.5, Limitation of Administrative Expenses, of the School Code. The current ranking in terms of administrative cost per pupil in average daily attendance, places District #98 in the bottom quartile or bottom twenty-five percent among districts of this type and category.  Due to this ranking, District #98 may waive the limitation imposed under this Section for any year with the affirmative vote of the Board of Education.  The District hereby qualifies for this waiver for the 2005-06 school year (FY06).

Sounds like we have at least one district in town that has their act together, so it is possible to be efficient and produce good results.

Cheers,
Brian

PS.  Interesting that it is a NORTH Berwyn board?
