Entertainment Line-Up for Halloween at Cigars and Stripes 2009

Cigars and Stripes and Shmaltz Brewing Company present FREAKTOBER FEST. A wonderful beer-tasting event under an historic tent.

Tasting will be held, Thursday, October 29th from 6:30 - 10:00pm. The time has come, to sample over 60 American craft and import beers from around the world. Vendors, pourers and people who love to drink beer and talk about it will be in attendance.

It's kinda like a pre Halloween party. So painted faces and costumes are encouraged.

*Featuring live entertainment and slight displays of insanity throughout the evening. *

NOW: a brief history. Cigars and Stripes takes the Halloween season seriously. So seriously that Ronnie Lottz (owner and operator of this fine establishment) traveled 9 ½ hours to purchase what just might possibly be the last intact, vintage, sideshow tent in all of America.

This authentic 30' x 50', *pumpkin orange, and blood red striped sideshow tent *was once owned and operated by P.T. Barnum and the legendary Ringly Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus.

Did this tent house many freaks in the sideshow?
Was it a coven for midgets?
The damp and musty lair where Lobster Boy and the Bearded Lady made FORBIDDEN love?
Could be ???? However, for one night, Thursday, October 29th at 6:30pm it will house the greatest beers in the world.

*Thanks to the Midwest number one craft and import beer distributor of all time: Louis Glunz Beer, Inc.

It was only a matter of time before *Jeramy Cohan of Shmaltz Brewing Company and
Ronnie Lottz* of Cigars and Stripes crossed their distorted paths.

Shmaltzs Brewing is responsible for bringing you these incredible craft beer potions. In theme of the legendary, Coney Island Freak Show, sample the human blockhead, sword sallower, Cooney Island lager and the albino python. And don't forget the *Halloween tradition of the Freaktober fest.... Blood red beer.*
