On Saturday, July 21, 2007 the Berwyn Park District and the West Suburban Special Recreation Association will be hosting the 9th Annual Carnival of Fun and Wacky Quacky Duck Splash.

The Carnival which runs from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Proksa Park will feature Pony Rides, Face Painting, Inflatable, Games, a Berry-Go-Round ride, and lots of fun.  For parents, there will be massage therapy available for a donation.  Admission is free, but tickets for games and rides are available for 5/$1.00.

At 5:45 the Wacky Quacky Duck Race will take place and the little runbber ducks will race from the big bridge west towards the West pond.  The grand prize is $500.00.  All of the funds raised will be used to support WSSRA and Berwyn Park District recreation programs and Scholarships funds for families who can not afford programs and activities.

Duck adoptions are available at Proksa Park and Freedom Park and will be available at Proksa Park until the time of the race.

Duck Adoption Prices are as follows:

One Duck                $ 5.00
Three Duck Trio       $13.00
Flock of Five             $20.00

Other sponsor opportunities are still available.

After the race we invite you to stay in the park and enjoy a FREE concert in the Park! The Concert is from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

What a great day to be at Proksa Park.  My family had a great time at the Carnival of Fun.  We had to miss the actual Duck Race and the live band, but the carnival games and activities were great and it was fun to see so many people enjoying the beautiful day!
