World Wide Day of Play

The World Wide Day of Play is an event being held around the world on this day to encourage children to get out and be active!   Partners Nickelodeon, William J. Clinton Foundation, National Parks and Recreation Association, and the American Heart Association started this project to encourage kids to eat healthy, exercise and commit to healthier lifestyles to combat childhood obesity. The Berwyn Park District will be offering a variety of activities for kids between the age of 6 -12 at Proksa Park to encourage them to get out and play.

In addition there will be information about healthy eating, healthy snacks and fun stations to keep kids enthusiastic about being fit.  Kids can also take the Nickelodeon pledge. Help your kids make wise choices about their future. Bring them out for the fun and see how the Berwyn Park District can fit into your healthy lifestyle!

The Berwyn Park District will raffle two bicycles, one girl's, one Boy's, during the event.  Please come on out and take time for fun and fitness.  Guaranteed to be a lot of fun!
