A truly amazing collection of posters, handbills. laminates, buttons, t-shirts and streaming audio from the 60's to recent years.  I watched a "Sunday Morning" piece about it over the weekend and it will be interesting to see what eventually gets released.  You see, not only did Bill Graham run audio on his shows, there's a bunch of video that has never seen light of day.  I'm sure that'll be a bit of a licensing nightmare - but there's gotta be some great footage in that collection.

Check out the site http://www.wolfgangsvault.com ... it's called Wolfgang's Vault because that was his name - from the website, "Born Wolfgang Grajonca in Berlin in 1931, he escaped Nazi Germany to grow up in a foster home in the Bronx and anglicized his name at the age of 18."

A guy who works with my brother turned me on to the site a few months ago. I could not believe the stuff that Graham had stored for all these years. I hope some video from the shows that were there are released. I'll bet your right about the licensing though.
Heck I wish the old Don Kirshners Rock Concert, ABC's In Concert,Midnight Special.and Night Flight shows would be released.

The Clash playing "This Is Radio Clash" on the show in 1981:

I'm not a big fan of Sandinista!, but this still pretty great.

Hey Mark - did you see the clip of them doing "London Calling" on FRIDAYS?  I think that's Harvey Keitel who introduced them.

"You Tube" has a wealth of music vids.

Yeah - alot of the footage is rough, but where else can you dig up Cheap Trick at Chicagofest '81, a Disco Demolition clip,  a Naked Raygun video, the "peanutbutter" scene from The Stooges live at the Cinncinatti Pop Fest in 1970 ... the list goes on & on.

Search YouTube for "OGWT" sometime. Pulls up a ton of fantastic 70s and 80s videos from the BBC show "The Old Grey Whistle Test." Eno-era Roxy Music doing "Ladytron," David Bowie, the Buzzcocks, Randy Newman playing "Political Science," and on and on.

Jeez Mark ... now I won't get anything done here at work!  WOW!

Although the Kris Kristofferson & Rita Coolidge throws me off a lil.

Thanks for the "ogwt" clue

Nope you're not the only one - I also remember that.  I also remember my dad buying as an extra The Who's Farewell concert in the mid-80's.  Had a small party and invited a bunch of friends over to watch the "final" show.
