Someone asked me to post this information on here. According to the Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois, here are the numbers for 2005, 2006 and 2007 averages for single family homes in Berwyn.

2005         
Total homes sold and closed - 610
Average time on the market - 71 days
Average sold price - $244,047
Lowest priced home that sold - $131,000
Highest priced home that sold - $441,500

2006
Total homes sold and closed - 498
Average time on the market - 84 days
Average sold price - 256,105
Lowest priced home that sold - $150,000
Highest priced home that sold - $491,000

2007
Total homes sold and closed - 310
Average time on the market - 130 days
Average sold price - $251,964
Lowest priced home that sold - $119,500
Highest priced home that sold - 675,000

A client of mine is debating whether or not to move from Berwyn. They have a nice house with 2 young kids and they want to know what people in Berwyn think about their own town. I explained how I lived here with my family for 18 years and for the most part I enjoyed it. They're registered here, I posted the stats and the poll to see what people are saying. Period. No harm done. The puppet string comment in your private email to me was uncalled for.
