Supposedly, the Virgin Mary's image is embedded as some type of mark on the Kennedy expressway, have any of you seen this firsthand?  Here are some news stories and a pic I found.  What do you think, BS, legit?

Totally B.S.  Some people will grasp at anything out of desperation.  I cannot believe it's newsworthy.

Not as kooky as the basilica in Cartago, Costa Rica:

apparently (in the 50's, I think) a young girl once witnessed the Virgin Mary exit the front door of the church, and proceed to walk across the street. She described it in such detail that the town believed her, and they blocked off the main highway so vehicles (mostly ox carts then...busses cars and trucks today) would not drive over the ground blessed by her feet. it remains so today. The highway simply stops in front of the church- all traffic must wind through side-streets and alleys for a few blocks- and then the highway continues.
Only the impossible always happens.

I guess whatever gets you through the night is okay to believe.  I don't think it's right to knock anybody's religious beliefs no matter how kookey they seem.

I've driven by it many times during the day but never stopped.  There has been a small crowd there non-stop for the past couple of weeks.

My opinion - their sanity is questionable (almost as bad as Green Bay Packer fans).  I was considering trying to sell them some mini-wheats I found that looked like St. John, but thought better of it.  But hey, if it makes them happy, why not.  They're not hurting anything.

My dad grew up in that area. I told me over 30 years ago about stains under those underpasses. This is nothing new.

Need my glasses. I meant to say - He told me over 30 years ago.
