Approving the Police Department buyout plan April 26 were 4th Ward Alderman Ronald Pechota, 5th Ward Alderman Ben Brocato, 7th Ward Alderman Robert Lovero and 8th Ward Alderman Patricia Fortunato.

Voting against the plan were 1st Ward Alderman Nona Chapman, 2nd Ward Alderman Alex Bojovic and 6th Ward Alderman Raymond Fron.

Alderman Branko Bojovic, 3rd Ward, was absent from the meeting.

According to the city's retiring police official buyout plan, Marzullo, who will retire Saturday, April 30, will receive $79,893.68.

Due to the felony charges against Marzullo, Chapman tried to stop payment of the check; however, she was too late and he had already received the check the morning of April 27.

Deputy Director Ronald Volanti, who retired earlier this month, will receive $57,551.84.

Unit Cmdr. Thomas Benrus, whose retirement date was not released, will receive $55,913.92.

Unit Cmdr. Sam Canerday, whose retirement date was also not released, will receive $51,030.08.
