Generally, I do my own travel arrangements/reservations online. I am starting to plan a trip that will be a bit more complex, and would like to go through a travel agent. Can you recommend someone in the area?

With the airlines & hotels no longer paying commissions to travel agents they have been getting as scarce as hen's teeth. Actually airlines have come to look at travel agents as an unnecessary cost and have cut them off. I don't imagine many of them will be around too much longer.

Popular wisdom from 25 years ago. The good ones are reinventing themselves, providing other services, specializing in high end vacations.
It was a nice gig being a travel agent years ago. I agree that the ones that are still around have found ways to stay in business. Kudos to them.
