Title: Start a Garden club?
Post by: Aimee on May 23, 2005, 08:45:57 AM
Is anyone interested in starting a garden club?
We could discuss problems in the garden, share plants etc.
Or show off what veggie's we have grown over the summer.
I like to grow organic, is anyone interested?

They have  started a Proksa Park garden club. The main idea is to help with the maintenence of some of the areas at Proksa, but the fellow that leads it is a Master Gardener and he is a great teacher. He passes along lots of good gardening info. Call Berwyn Park District 708-788-1701 and ask when the next meeting is.

Aimee--I would be very interested in starting a garden club!  I was just thinking this weekend how nice it would be to have a local club.  If you call Proska let me know what they say.  Otherwise, perhaps we could work to get one going?

Where do you live?

I've heard that the master gardner at Proska is a very reputable master gardner.

I will go and let you know.  If there is any literature I will be sure and pick up an extra copy for anyone who wants one and then maybe we can get started.
