Not much on the city council agenda for this Tuesday.  $6,000 TIF recommendation; two fire department promotions; bids for holiday decorations; giving bond cap money to another agency rather than to the Illinois Housing Development Authority.

I bet it will be a 5 minute meeting on Tuesday:

I find it rather amazing, in a city of 50,000 people, with a budget that is going to require tax increases, an ongoing story in the news about the failure of the city to identify a public health hazard, probably 100+ vacant foreclosure properties and business districts that are hurting, that city council has ZERO ideas on any of those topics.

Hopefully we can get some good people to run for aldermen next time around (GOOD = people with ideas about how to solve the problems which every day residents can see for themselves).

Well I'm glad to see you've just ruled out electing yet another batch of democrats.

And Anthony Castrogiovanni will be the republican candidate yet again?  Yeah, he brings a lot to the table.
