If you want to help to make Berwyn a more walkable and bike-friendly City, come and join your fellow Berwyn residents on Tuesday, October 25 at 7:00p.m. at the Garlic Clove Restaurant at 6814 Windsor (right near the Oak Park Avenue Berwyn Depot) for an informal get-together.

Local residents along with the Active Transportation Alliance are forming a Bicycle/Pedestrian group to follow up on a public meeting held in Berwyn in April and the recent development of Berwyn's Active Transportation Plan.

To get started, let's get together to meet one another and discuss possible activities to make Berwyn more walkable and bike-friendly. Some of these activities could include:

Supporting the adoption of Berwyn's Active Transportation Plan at public meetings (update to be provided)
Using social media to publicize active transportation issues and goals
Partnering with local organizations to organize active transportation events

I'm sure that each of you will have ideas to share from your daily experiences in Berwyn.

Arrangements have been made for an informal meeting on Tuesday, October 25 at 7:00p.m. at the Garlic Clove Restaurant at 6814 Windsor (right near the Oak Park Avenue Berwyn Depot).

If you plan to attend, please let us know. Contact Berwyn resident Justin Wier at 708.484.7164 or wierjustin@yahoo.com or Ruth Myers, West Suburban Coordinator for Active Transportation Alliance at 312.427.3325 x242 or ruth@activetrans.org.

Please feel free to invite your friends. Hope to see you there!

Thanks,
Justin Wier
