Demolition: get oak door from dumpster now

Hi all rehabbers. The house next to me which was abandoned for 2 years has finally sold and is having $70,000 in rehab done. Unfortunately the dumpster is sporting a beautiful oak panel door with glass crystal knob. It is on the top and can be easily removed or the workers will probably remove it for you if you want to rescue it. I thought about getting it myself but have no need of it. I am a pack rat anyway and don't need one more thing to store for later. It breaks my heart to see the old good stuff going out with the old bad. Please rescue this door. It is in front of 2617 Oak Park Ave, workers are at 2615.

They filled one dumpster pretty quick and now have a new dumpster there. The doors weren't as nice as they seemed as seen from my front window. They were small one panel closet doors that seemed unfinished. The knobs were nice closet door knobs though. Sorry you missed checking it out.
