Pork Prices

No one has bitched about the price of pork going up?And Beef? Shades of Jimmy Carter! We have no inflation? Perfectly timed for the warm weather.

Good meat is becoming a luxury. My new smoker is going to get a workout this year. Pork shoulders, whole chickens.
My wife bought us a stand up freezer years ago. Buy in bulk on sale. I don't like to freeze meat, but if you can score full piggy tenderloins on sale and cut them up, vacu-seal and not let them freezer burn, it works. Same for ribs, etc.

Pork prices are going up because of a virus from China that effects young pigs.Supposedly not harmful to humans? Now vegetables and fruit is going up in price,why beef? who knows?  Next there will be a premium on road kill!

I can tell you the wholesale prices are way up for beef, pork & chicken as well.  It is actually 30-40% higher than last year
