MONDAY 6:30pm Fundraiser Meeting at:
St. Leonard School 3322 S. Clarence Avenue.
Anyone and everyone is invited to help us put together a successful fundraiser for the family.

We are holding a fundraiser on August 16, 2014 at St. Leonard Church, Berwyn, IL in hopes to raise $50,000 for a handicap accessible bedroom, bathroom, and ceiling lift for Lee a 3rd grader at Irving School in Berwyn and parishioner at St. Leonard.

Lee has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) which is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness.  DMD patients typically don't live to be 30 years old...but hopefully that will change with research and advancements.

Lee's health has been depleting quickly and now he requires a wheel chair to and from school. On a regular basis he is not able to perform the tasks he did only one week ago!

See attachment About Lee for more information

Thank you!

How about the woodworking or carpentry class at Morton. They might have done this type of work before.

The fundraiser meeting will be next Monday, May 5th @ 6:30pm at St.Leonard School 3322 S. Clarence Berwyn. All are welcome to join us as we work on the August 16th Construction Fundraiser and other events. Thank you!

We are trying to get donations everywhere and anywhere! Corporations are harder to get donations for an individual but we have a 501c3 and that has helped us to qualify for donations. If anyone has recommendations we would really appreciate it.

We have a facebook page at www.facebook.com/fortheloveoflee2014

We have a website for online donations at: www.youcaring.com/fortheloveoflee

And we can be reached via email at fortheloveoflee2014@gmail.com

Thanks,
Annette

I just read an article that Home Depot has a foundation that may help with your situation, and has donated to people with similar problems.
