LaShawn Ford convicted

LaShawn Ford, one of Berwyn's representatives in the Illinois State House  (he represents north Berwyn) was convicted of tax evasion yesterday. Prosecutors dropped 17 felony counts and Ford pleaded guilty to a misdemeaner charge and was fined and sentenced to probation.

  Ford ran unopposed in the general election and was elected to his 5th term last Tuesday.  He represents north Berwyn, south Oak Park and parts of Austin.
