Police Surveillance Truck

Anybody know why there is a police surveillance truck on Oak Park Ave.?

I guess anything is possible.  I'm just wondering what is the point of being so visible.  Should we be concerned?

I think the point is to let the bad guys know "we know and we're watching you".  It's something that will definitely dissuade you from doing illegal business in the area. At least for as long as the truck is parked there.

The truck was parked in front of our old next door neighbors' house for awhile.  While I don't think it did a lot to deter some of their (alleged) illegal activities, it made us feel good that Berwyn PD was watching them.   And, though it took awhile, they were finally evicted. 

Which was nice.
