  My first sports idol as a young kid. When we played ball we all mimicked his stance, held our elbow up high and naturally moved our fingers and tickled the bat when we gripped it. For many years the only reason to watch or go to a Cub game was Ernie. A true legend and a great man. Rest in peace Ernie.
