Berwyn check screwup

 There has been a screw up by the bank that the City of Berwyn deposits checks into.  Byline Bank has been assigning checks from one person's account into the account of a different person who happened to pay the City of Berwyn in the same time period.

For example, if Person A paid the city of Berwyn $200 and Person B paid the city of Berwyn $50 in the same time period, Person B was getting a $200 check processed against his/her account rather than $50.

  According to a post on Facebook, the bank has become aware of the problem and is trying to rectify it.   If you cashed a check with the City of Berwyn in the last few months, please check your checking account to make sure the correct amount was taken out of your account.

I don't know what's going on with that bank but they have been a screw up for the past couple of years.  We pulled out of there.  I just wished we had done it 5 years ago.
