poison free lawn care

I just learned something new today.

Corn gluten stops seed germination. So if you use it on your lawn 2ce a year-- you can prevent dandelions!

Of course this is not a good idea to use if you just put down grass seed like us!

Opps!
Where can you buy this corn gluten?
I have never heard of it. Sounds like a good thing to use, not when seeding.

Try the feed store just south of I-55 on Harlem.  I think it is a little late for CGM now though, it is typically used as a pre-emergent.  Also check out gardenweb.
