The book is "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross

The gun owners not happy with ever-more restrictive laws, bans, restricted ownership of firearms, confiscation, and so on, owe it to themselves to ferret out a copy of Ross' book and enjoy reading it. Basically a work of fiction, due to use of characters to expand and understand the various events which shaped the federal distortion of the 2nd. Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the most significant gun-related abuses are well-researched and presented, including Hooverville, Waco, Ruby Ridge, the Detroit row-house burning, and so on.

Hard to find book, but well worth seeking. Most highly recommended for the gun owner.
