Granted, it's a story about OP...but we (or Fitzgerald's) get's a mention in the Tavel section's "36-Hours":

"9:30 p.m.
8) A Musical Gem

A weathered club inside a green wood-frame building, FitzGerald's (6615 West Roosevelt Road, 708-788-2118) still looks and feels like a 1920's roadhouse. But it sits back slightly on a commercial strip in Berwyn, just south of Oak Park. One of the best places in the Chicago area to hear live roots music, FitzGerald's has long been host to impressive national and local musicians who play everything from Chicago blues to R & B, jazz, rock and alternative country. Bands play on a simple raised stage for a beer-in-hand crowd gathered on the scuffed wooden dance floor. The cover charge ranges from $5 to $20."
