POSITION AVAILABLE: Senior Citizen Advocate
The Senior Citizen Advocate will develop and manage the overall operations of the
Senior Citizen Department. This includes, but is not limited to: implementing new
service programs; developing networking and communications between different services
by using home visits, newsletters and meetings; overseeing the general welfare of our
senior citizens and to plan, execute and participate in appropriate senior citizen activities
and new events. Selected candidate will interact with many departments and other
services to reach the necessary goals.
Requirements:
• Must have excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• B.A. degree in management or social work preferred.
• Ability and knowledge for organizational development.
• Must be willing to work on a flextime schedule with accountability.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
• Intermediate computer skills in MS office
• Paid or volunteer experience providing services to older people preferred
