T-Stan have you seen The Man Who Would Be King? (Connery & Cain) ... one of my very favs.

No, never seen it.  What's it about?

Bear

Its an adaptation from Rudyard Kipling, truly a great movie
that slipped under the main stream. "Who's head? Uto's head!"
...What else can we do now except roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair...

I see you love that movie too, Bear.  T, I have the DVD - widescreen (which is appropriate for this vast tale).  If you like, drop by this eve, ring the door bell and I shall loan it to you.

I am surprised I didn't think of it sooner considering your experiences in Iraq and the Stans.

Here is a link which tells more about this movie:

When I initially watched this movie years ago, it made me wonder about two things ... Masons and the song that Peachy proudly sings toward the end.  I learned more about Masons after that, and as for the song Peachy sang, it was Sgt. McKenzie, which was more recently heard in movies such as We Were Soldiers and Blackhawk Down.

Ruffian - is it an appropriate movie to have on the TV with a kid around?  She absorbs language like a sponge.  Either way I'll be in touch the next couple of days to pick it up.

Also, for clarification I have a couple of years living in the Stans and Central Asia but never been to Iraq.

There is no nudity.  There is no foul language except for the occasional British use of bloody.  But I doublt she'll show most interest.  Most kids these days have the attention span of a small puppy.  But nothing to fear as far as viewing content.
