What's so surprising about that?

They have the best lineup, 1-8, in the National League.

Solid starting pitching, damn good bullpen, and one of the best managers in the game.

What else would you expect?

Silk....... now I know, that you know such chemistry does not guarantee 11 games over 500 on May 20. C'mon.

It's not about chemistry. It's about TALENT. And the Cubs have plenty of it.

Soriano, Lee, Ramirez, Fukudome, and Soto are all top tier players at their  respective positions. How many other teams can boast as many?

How many teams have bullpens like ours?

Bear

What do the World Series and a polar bear on birth control have in common?

THEY CAN'T HAVE CUBS!

Hey, I'm a Sox fan, but it is nice to see the Cubs doing good.

See, yer Sox fans don' need no hats– that's why that's funny!

Beer can in the right hand, Zubaz pants, undersized cutoff, and a mullet.

Sounds about right.

Bear

Anita Bryant would be proud, Houston made fools
of the Addison Street Miracles...

My first look at the Chubs this season, tuned in during the 7th...

They have no passion, or hunger. A true contender would have come
back and won that game.

All dressed up, nowhere to go.

Awww...what a pretty picture Bear posted of a typical Sux fan...
Thanks for sharing!

What a tool you are Bear. Houston won with swing of the bat on a ball that cleared the fence by maybe two feet. And the Cubs have won more games than I count which lesser teams (like the Sux) would have blown. Like LAST night.

Wake up and watch the games, or shut the hell up.

That would be animal abuse Silk.

It is not always about talent.  Ask the 1980 Russian Olympic Team.  1969 Orioles won 103 games with three starters won over 20 games and lost to the newly expansion team Mets 4 games to 1. I know the Yankees had more talent the Florida in 2003, but who won then?  You can look at last year also.  The New York Giants had more talent than the New England Patriots? I don't think so.  But it is chemistry.  Chemistry IMHO is a fancy word for attitude.  And any endevor without the correct attitude is not going to succeed.  Are you going to tell me that the NBA dream teams don't have more talent than all the Olympic teams combined, yet they got bounced too because of attitude, or chemistry as everyone wants to say now.

What is the excuse for last years awesome meltdown? No chemistry? Because you clowns were running around here like the Series was in the bag. And now you are at it again. See you in a hundred years.

What meltdown?  That was an 85 win team, which did what every other sub-par team did in the first round last year.

Frank.... they won the division.  I'm not going to play tit for tat with the 88 year wonders, but for a team that was in a inferior division, like the National League Central.  Taking 5 out of 6 from the hitless wonders of '59 was ok.  I can live with that for now.  This season I can't.  This team will be in the World Series.

Heard it all last year Tony from the same people. Good Luck to you and your team but don't bash the 05 World Series winners, and yes that was in THIS century!

Best record in baseball one third of the way into the season.

Marmol and Wood are absolutely devastating (except in those few instances when Wood hits the led off guy).

If they make a move for another frontline starter, look out!!!
