Barbara Olsen, a member of the Culinary Historians of Chicago, will talk about the activities of this important group.  Chicago boasts a very eclectic and rich food heritage, and this organization strives to preserve its urban culinary roots through public education and special culinary events.

The organization's goals are to study the history of foods and their peoples and to have first-hand knowledge of what foods taste like.  You will learn more about this very interesting organization, as well as about many of the people who have spoken on behalf of the diverse food culture that is alive and well in our communities.
