Believe it or not, I actually saw this flick at the Bel Air Drive In (located in the most beloved Town of Cicero, Illinois) back when I was about seven fingers old.

Back then, I didn't appreciate it.  Cartoons were supposed to be about animals assaulting each other 'n shit.

I rediscovered it about 12 years ago, and was mesmerized by this movie.  It's brilliant.

Watch it here for free, compliments of Youtube:

you're on a Ralph Bakshi kick aren't you?  Don't forget "Hey Good Lookin" & "Streetfight" (a.k.a. "Coonskin")

I honestly didn't know that he did Fritz as well!

Thanks for sharing!

BTW....I've heard about "Wizards" for years, but never saw it.  Is it worth checking out?

Oh, and:

5:22

Somebody please identify that tune for me. :-\

Wizards is an odd one ... I haven't watched it since the late 80's, but all I remember is that it was weird & had the usual Bakshi sexual deviance in it.  Not one of my favs, but enjoyable if you like Bakshi.

The tune at 5:22 in that youtube clip is a swing classic.  Sing Sing Sing - written by Louis Prima ... popularized by Benny Goodman.

And here's a lil' Krupa w/Benny & the boys for ya:
