Nice. I love Robert Schiller's resume, the new PW Director.

Must be a friend of our City Administrator.

And, Robert, living outside of Cook County, gets a car. Nice.

Couldn't help notice that since 2004, Mr. Schiller has been working
for "Chicago Area Company".

Apparently, the 90k he will make here, is more than he currently
makes for "Chicago Area Company"

Love the transparency.  When Pat Ryan was hired, the soon to be former PW Director,
a job search was conducted.

Of course, I know, this is a Mayoral Appointment.

Search on as Works directors quit posts

The Sun - Downers Grove (IL)

After the resignation of the village's top two Public Works officials, Downers Grove officials are busy launching a search to find their successors. A press release dated Sept. 2 from the village of Downers Grove indicates Public Works Director Jack Bajor and Assistant Public Works Director Robert Schiller had announced their resignations. "The village would like to thank each of them for their work and dedication and wish them all the best in their future endeavors," the press release read.

Bajor was appointed as director of Public Works in November 2000, the release said. Schiller had worked with the village since 1979 and was named assistant director of Public Works in November 2001...

Search for new public works director, assistant underway; Organization makes changes consistent with `culture change'

The Sun - Downers Grove (IL)
September 18, 2003

Downers Grove Village Manager Rick Ginex hopes to bring a new public works director on board in three months following the Sept. 2 resignations of Jack Bajor and Robert Schiller. The search to fill that post began last week, he said. David Van Vooren, deputy village manager of finance and administration, has stepped in as acting public works director.

Ginex said Bajor, who was public works director, and Schiller, his assistant, were given four-month severance packages that included salary, benefits and outplacement assistance. He said giving Bajor and Schiller those packages is nothing out of the ordinary. Ginex declined to comment on the matter further, citing personnel issues....

His name also shows up in several Downers Grove city documents and bids, such as the following:
