Join the Berwyn Park District and the Berwyn Development Corporation for the 2010 Summer Concert Series.

The FREE summer concerts are held at Proksa Park in June, July, and August.
Grab your family, friends and a blanket and join us for a delightful afternoon or evening in the
park filled with musical entertainment.

Sunday, June 20th at 3:00 pm -

Jose Valdes & the Mambo All Stars
The Mambo All-Stars play salsa, merengue, cumbia, cha-cha, and boleros, a cross
section of all the Latin dance rhythms.

Saturday, July 17 at 6:00 pm -

Jutta and the High Dukes
These talented multi-instrumentalists teach and lead simple, fun, line and circle
dances as well as getting folks drumming along on the band's percussion toys.
The Hi-Dukes is NOT your daddy's cute ethnic band. These folks play their
music for real, with the same power and intensity which propels any hot dance
band!

July 17th is also the Proksa Park Carnival of Fun and the Wacky Quacky Duck Splash.  Come on out and enjoy the children's carnival sponsored by the Berwyn Park District and the West Suburban Special Recreation Association which runs from 2pm until 5:30pm and purchase a duck entry into the race at 5:30 pm.  Race proceeds benefit the WSSRA and the Berwyn Park District Scholarship Funds.

Sunday, August 29 at 3:00 pm -

The Sound Encounter Orchestra
With a great variety of music, from 40's to current, standards, motown,
funk, rock, dance, swing and international music (including an extensive
list of Italian music). This flexibility has them to become one of the
busiest and top-rated bands in the midwest...so that you can expect a tight,
well rehearsed performance.

Proksa Park is located at 3001 S. Wisconsin Avenue, Berwyn.  Please bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
