Trike a thon For St. Jude's Children's Hospital

Yesterday, children from Concordia Little Lambs Preschool and Kindergarten participated in our annual Trikeathon to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  We were graciously allowed to use the blacktop at Irving School for our course.  Cones were set up and children on trikes, bikes, and big wheels rode laps around the track.  Some were sponsored by a flat rate donation, and others were sponsored by a monatary donation per lap.

During the previous week we learned about bike safety.  When each child arrived at the course, they told their teachers the "Rules of Bike Safety" in order to receive their 'driver's license'.  The children and some of their older siblings took to the course for an hour.  Many of the children completed more than 50 laps, earning money to help the children they had read about in class this week.

Donation money will be collected this week, and mailed to St. Judes Hospital.  If you'd like to contribute you may contact the preschool at 795-7533 or mail a check made out to St. Judes Children's hospital to:
