Lots of sweet memories for me of Dick Buckley and his resonant baritone voice! Rainy, Sunday afternoons listening with my pops to his inside scoop of the "cats" & the great records he would spin! He lived in Oak Park & would do the show himself, selecting the vinyl from his vast collection before show-time; the record jackets (song lists) were color-coded by him with sharpies, so that he could remember if he had played the piece too recently.

Both of Dick Buckley's sons work at the Famous Liquors on Madison St. (Forest Park); Jim Buckley (Dick's eldest son) is a great guy & good friend (a great wine-palate) and will regale you with stories about his dad if you love Jazz and the Chicago radio scene of the 1960's '70's 80's.
